What is really neat about the whisper function, is that I can set up two Channel Groups which can allow people in the same channel to act as squads, and allow communication to go to either squad or all players. This allows them to moderate the server a bit, but more so it allows me to whisper to them directly. My Real Life Friends have a special Server group. I have this mapped as a whisper to a server group in the current channel. But it works well enough to hit a button so you can yell “ Dont run over me!” to the group that has the vehicle.Īpplication - This is also known as the Right Mouse Key. That being said, I find being connected and listening to both tabs can be confusing, unfortunately I’ve not had luck with muting the server tab you are leaving as the key binds dont allow nested operations. Right CTRL - I use two binds on this to manage multiple tabs in Teamspeak. While I have a mute button on my headset, it’s nice to be able to give a temporary mute without taking my hands off the keyboard. If you have to cough, sneeze, drink, yell at the dog, or whatever, then you should have a mute key to not distract your fellow gamers. I use Left CTRL as a backup PTT key.Īcute Accent/Tilde - This key is the key above the Tab key. However, there are some servers which enforce a PTT only environment. Because of that I use voice activation to transmit. My game setup is a private room with headphones, so there is no background noise. Left CTRL - I keep this as a Push-To-Talk for Teamspeak. This will eliminate the echo of hearing people talk in both game and Teamspeak, and will eliminate the once sided conversations when talking to people in game when you are away from your group. Since it is only muted in Teamspeak, the mic will only broadcast in game. On caps Lock up, it will unmute the microphone in Teamspeak.
On Caps Lock down, it will mute your microphone in Teamspeak. With the two keybinds above, it will effectively mute Teamspeak while you use direct/group chat in game.
